If the Nigerian Government announced the creation of it’s very own space program, with an agenda that includes building a completely made-in-naija space shuttle..
Would that not be the ultimate joke?
It sounds as ridiculous as trying to power a space shuttle with an automobile V-12 engine.
Nigerians keep celebrating and thanking their leaders for delivering to them their own rights – things that are meant to be a matter of basic rights. You hear them jubilating, “our Governor is working” over the supply of the most basic of amenities.
When a governor builds hospitals and schools (if he does), sinks boreholes, etc., he’s merely addressing issues that long should have been fixed. He’ll be merely doing his “public servant” job by equipping the Fire Service, but given the situation of things and the state of our minds, basic amenities = luxury.
If the delivery of the common man’s basic needs are celebrated as if they were anything to jubilate about in the first place,
You see why we can’t be talking about nuclear research nor a space program for the next few millenia.
